About the movie
English — Moktar always said that when he will shut his bar Bablinga down, he will return to Burkina. This day has arrived, but he’s not really ready to leave. Despite himself, ghosts invite themselves to celebrate the last evening.
French — Moktar a toujours dit que lorsqu’il fermera son bar Bablinga, il reviendra au Burkina. Ce jour est arrivé, mais il n’est pas vraiment prêt à partir. Malgré lui, des fantômes s’invitent à fêter la dernière soirée.
About the director
English — Fabien Dao was born in Paris. He’s the result of the encounter of a French teacher and a Burkinabe film director.
After scientific studies, his taste for music and cinema drove him to the sound department of the FEMIS.
There he directed “The Boromo’s caï
man.” Two years later, he finished “It rains on Ouaga.” In 2019, he concluded his trilogy around his father with “Bablinga.”
French — Fabien Dao est né à Paris. Il est le résultat de la rencontre d’un professeur de français et d’un réalisateur burkinabé.
Après des études scientifiques, son goût pour la musique et le cinéma le conduit au département son de la FEMIS.
Là, il a réalisé “Le caï du Boromo
homme.” Deux ans plus tard, il a terminé “Il pleut sur Ouaga.” En 2019, il a conclu sa trilogie autour de son père avec “Bablinga.”
